You are required to respect the times and dates of the embargoes, as stated below.

Abstracts for The International Liver CongressTM 2019 will be published online as follows:

On 27 March 2019 a large quantity of abstracts, including some late breaker-abstracts, will be posted online showing abstract title, author names and abstract data. These abstracts are publicly available and can be reported on from this time onwards.

A smaller quantity of abstracts, including some late-breaker abstracts, will be retained and presented during The International Liver CongressTM 2019 official Press Office activities and/or in official Press Office materials. These abstracts will be made available to media representatives in advance of the Congress under embargo until 00:01 CET on the day the abstract is presented at the Congress. Details of the abstract and any associated content may be published from this time. Any earlier reporting will be in violation of the embargo.

A daily schedule listing all The International Liver CongressTM 2019 Press Conferences will be displayed in the ILC 2019 Press Office or is available from the ILC 2019 Press Office.

Official media materials will be made available at The International Liver CongressTM 2019 to registered journalists and will also be available to access online.

Embargo conditions for industry/study groups

Industry/study groups must not issue press releases – even under embargo – regarding any of the abstracts selected to be highlighted during official The International Liver CongressTM 2019 Press Office activities or in official Press Office materials before the abstracts are made available to media, as mentioned above.

For all other abstracts, industry/study groups are free to issue press releases once the data is published online. However, only the information contained in these abstracts can be reported on in the media. At any time, industry/study groups are free to issue press releases announcing their abstracts have been accepted for The International Liver CongressTM 2019.

Embargo conditions for media

Media must not publish coverage of any kind on the data contained in either the late breaker abstracts or any of the abstracts to be highlighted during The International Liver CongressTM 2019 official Press Office activities or in official Press Office materials until 00:01 CET on the day of the abstract presentation.

Terms

Violation of this policy will be taken seriously. Individuals and/or sponsors who violate it may face sanctions relating to current and future abstract submissions, presentations and visibility at The International Liver CongressTM 2019 and beyond. The EASL Governing Board is at liberty to ban attendance and/or retract data.
